Win a year's car insurance premium

1. These terms and conditions (Terms), Tower's General Promotion terms and conditions (available here), and Tower's General Terms (available here), apply to the "Win a year's car insurance premium" Promotion (Promotion).
2. The Promoter is Tower Limited (Tower) of Level 5, 136 Fanshawe Street, Auckland 1010, New Zealand.
3. The Promotion commences at 8:00am on Sunday 21 July 2024 and ends at 11:59pm on Saturday 24 August 2024 (Promotion Period).
4. There are 10 prizes to be won for this Promotion. Eligible Customers will receive one entry per Eligible Policy purchased in accordance with these Terms (i.e., purchase two Eligible Policies and receive two entries).
5. Prize winners (Prize Winners) will receive a one-off refund and/or credit on the total premium payable for the first year of the relevant Eligible Policy. The prize will be calculated based on the annualised premium paid or payable by the customer when that policy was purchased (Premium). The prize amount will not be adjusted to reflect any changes a Prize Winner subsequently makes to its policy which increase or decrease the Premium. The prize amount will be the lower of:
   
   1. the Premium (including GST, fees and levies); or
   2. NZ$1,500 (including GST, fees and levies),
      
      (Prize).
6. Depending on how you pay your Premium, the Prize will be delivered as:
   
   1. a refund on Premium paid as at the Draw Date (as defined in clause 17); and/or
   2. a credit to the Premium if there is a balance owing on the Eligible Policy.
7. If a Prize Winner's Premium is more than NZ$1,500 (including GST, fees and levies), that Prize Winner must pay the remaining balance of their Premium.
8. Subject to these Terms, this Promotion is open to you if:
   
   1. you purchase a new Eligible Policy (as defined in clause 10) directly from Tower (online or over the phone), through one of Tower's Corporate Portals, or over the phone with Tower following a referral from a Tower partner, broker or adviser during the Promotion Period; or
   2. you save a quote for an Eligible Policy during the Promotion Period and purchase that policy within the Promotion Period; and
   3. that Eligible Policy has commenced and is in force on the Draw Date; and
   4. by the Draw Date, Tower receives payment of your Premium for an Eligible Policy, either:
      1. in full for annual payment; or
      2. at least the first instalment and any subsequent payments due if your payment method is by instalments,
         
         (Eligible Customer).
9. This Promotion does not apply to the following:
   
   1. Tower's employees.
   2. Trade Me Insurance policies.
   3. Policies underwritten by Tower's group companies in the Pacific.
10. For the purposes of this Promotion, an Eligible Policy means the following new Tower-branded policies, including:
    
    1. Car (Comprehensive, Third Party Fire and Theft, and/or Third Party only policies); or
    2. Commercial Vehicle (Comprehensive and/or Third Party only policies),
       
       but excludes:
    3. Tower Motorbike, Motorhome, Caravan, and/or Trailer policies; and
    4. any other insurance policies underwritten by Tower.

    If you held a Tower policy for the same asset insured in the three months immediately before the Promotion Period, then any new replacement policy will not be eligible.

11. Unless Tower advises otherwise, this Promotion can be participated in along with any other Tower offer, discount or promotion.
12. If this Promotion applies and you are an Eligible Customer, Tower will automatically enter you into the Promotion unless you contact us to advise that you do not wish to participate in the Promotion.
13. Each Prize Winner can only win one Prize during the Promotion.
14. If an Eligible Customer has more than one Eligible Policy entered into the Promotion, Prizes will be determined based on the relevant Eligible Policy that has been drawn.
15. The Prize is non-exchangeable, non-refundable, non-transferable, non-negotiable and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other benefit.
16. If an Eligible Policy is cancelled during its term, the Prize will be forfeited. If the Prize Winner is owed a refund on any Premium paid in respect of the Eligible Policy, the refund will be calculated in accordance with Tower's policy terms.
17. The Prize Winners will be determined by a random draw by Tower from all valid entries on 30 September 2024 (Draw), and if required pursuant to clause 18 of these Terms, on the date where any new Prize Winner is selected (Draw Date). The Prize Winners will be notified by Tower by email and/or phone within five working days from the Draw Date.
18. If, for any reason:
    
    1. Tower is unable to contact a Prize Winner within 10 working days of the Prize Winner being drawn;
    2. the terms of clause 8 are not met; or
    3. a Prize Winner's Eligible Policy is not in force on the Draw Date,
       
       Tower reserves the right to withdraw the Prize and re-draw a new Prize Winner.
19. Tower will obtain written permission prior to using any Prize Winner's personal information (including their name, photograph, city and/or town) for marketing and/or publicity purposes in connection with this Promotion. If consent is provided, this information may be published on Tower's website and/or social media networks, and in communications. Please refer to Tower's Privacy Policy here for more information.
20. This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram and you fully release Meta Platforms, Inc. from any liability or responsibility for or in connection with this Promotion.
21. Policy term, conditions, exclusions, limits, minimum premiums and underwriting criteria apply in respect of all policies.
22. Tower reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to:
    
    1. cancel this Promotion prior to expiry of the Promotion Period;
    2. add policies to the list of Eligible Policies; and/or
    3. change any other aspect of the Promotion at any time.
