SAVENOW discount

  1. These terms and conditions (Terms), Tower's General Promotion terms and conditions (available here), and Tower's General Terms (available here) apply to the "SAVENOW Discount" Promotion (Promotion).
  2. In these Terms:
    1. Tower means Tower Limited.
    2. Tower Premium means the amount of premium retained by Tower and does not include:
      1. Toka Tū Ake EQC levy;
      2. Fire and Emergency New Zealand levy; and
      3. Goods and Services Tax (GST).
  3. The Promotion commences at 7:00am on Sunday 25 June 2023 and ends at 5:00am on Sunday 3 September 2023 (Promotion Period).
  4. Subject to these terms, this Promotion applies if:
    1. you purchase an Eligible Policy (as defined in clause 9 below) online through the Tower website; and
    2. you use the promo code SAVENOW (Promo Code); and
    3. the period of insurance for the Eligible Policy begins,

      during the Promotion Period. 

  5. If you have saved a quote, but not completed the purchase, prior to commencement of the Promotion Period, this Promotion will not automatically apply to the saved quote.
  6. If this Promotion applies, then a one-off discount (in the amount specified in the list in clause 7 below) will be deducted from the first year's annual Tower Premium plus GST for each Eligible Policy purchased. For the avoidance of doubt, if you pay your premiums for an Eligible Policy in instalments, the Discount will be spread across each instalment.
  7. The relevant maximum discount for each Eligible Policy is as follows (Discount):
    • House (Premium, Plus, and/or Standard): NZ$100 per Eligible Policy.
    • Landlord (Plus): NZ$100 per Eligible Policy.
    • Contents (Premium, Plus, and/or Standard): NZ$50 per Eligible Policy.
    • Comprehensive Car (Private): NZ$50 per Eligible Policy.
    • Comprehensive Car (Commercial): NZ$50 per Eligible Policy.
  8. The Discount will not apply on renewal of an Eligible Policy which is purchased during the Promotion. The premiums due on renewal of an Eligible Policy will be assessed and set at the prevailing rates at the time of each such renewal.
  9. For the purposes of this Promotion, an Eligible Policy means any new Tower House (Premium, Plus, and/or Standard), Landlord (Plus), Contents (Premium, Plus, and/or Standard), and/or Comprehensive Car (private and/or commercial) insurance policy in New Zealand but excludes:
    1. Tower Contract Works - renovation cover policies;
    2. any other Tower Motor insurance policies (including, but not limited to, third party, and third party, fire, and theft);
    3. Tower Travel, Pet, and Boat insurance policies;
    4. Tower Rural and non-Comprehensive Car Commercial policies;
    5. Commercial and Business insurance;
    6. any other insurance policies underwritten by Tower purchased through Tower's partners, brokers, advisers, or by any means other than online through Tower's website using the Promo Code; and
    7. any policy, if you have held that specific type of Tower policy for the relevant asset insured in the three months prior to the start of the Promotion Period.
  10. Tower's employees are not eligible to use the Promo Code. 
  11. Unless Tower advises otherwise, the Promo Code cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, discount or promotion, except for the Tower multi-policy discount and/or no claims bonus benefit (if applicable). In this case, the Discount will be applied after any applicable Tower multi-policy discount, and/or no claims bonus benefit has been applied.
  12. The Promo Code must only be used once per Eligible Policy.
  13. The Discount cannot be exchanged for cash or any other benefit.
  14. If an Eligible Policy does not run for the full annual policy period (i.e., there is a mid-term cancellation), the Discount applied will be pro-rated to the length of the Eligible Policy.
  15. If you are due a refund of any premium for a policy purchased during the Promotion, we may deduct any Discount originally applied to your premium from any refund owing to you.
  16. Policy terms, conditions, exclusions, sub-limits, minimum premiums, and underwriting criteria apply in respect of all policies.
  17. By purchasing an Eligible Policy using the Promo Code, you are bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to be bound by these Terms, then you must not use the Promo Code when purchasing an Eligible Policy or contact us to purchase a policy.
  18. Tower reserves the right to:
    1. change or revoke the Promotion to ensure that the Discount applied to the Tower Premium is correct for the purposes of these Terms;
    2. cancel this Promotion prior to expiry of the Promotion Period;
    3. add policies to or remove policies from the list of Eligible Policies; and/or
    4. change any other aspect of the Promotion at any time,

  19. at its sole discretion.
