Prevention pack promotion
- These terms and conditions (Terms), and Tower's General Terms (available here), apply to the "Prevention Pack" Promotion (Promotion).
- In these Terms, Tower means Tower Limited.
- The Promotion commences at 12:00am 13 December 2024 and ends at 11:59pm 31 January 2025 (Promotion Period).
- The Prevention pack consists of an Aqara Motion Sensor P1, 2 x Aqara Door and Window Sensors T1, and Aqara Water Leak Sensor T1 and an Aqara Hub E1 to support the devices (Prevention Pack). - Subject to these Terms, this Promotion is open to you and you will be an eligible customer if:
- you have received an email directly from Tower offering the Prevention Pack during the Promotion Period; and
- you purchase a new Eligible Policy (as defined in clause 6) online at Tower.co.nz, through one of Tower's Corporate Portals, or over the phone from Tower during the Promotion Period; and
- Tower receives payment of your premium for the new Eligible Policy (either in full for annual payment or at least the first instalment if your payment method is otherwise); and
- the period of insurance for the new Eligible Policy begins within 49 days of the date the new Eligible Policy was purchased. (Eligible Customer).
- For the purposes of this Promotion, an Eligible Policy means a new Tower branded House insurance policy, but excludes Landlords Plus, Contract Works and any other insurance policies with Tower.
- This Promotion does not apply to the following:
- Tower's employees and their respective immediate families and/or people residing with them.
- Customers who purchase Tower policies via CSC Buying Group.
- Trade Me Insurance policies.
- Customers who purchase Tower policies via HealthCarePlus.
- Customers who receive a discount on Tower policies via an arrangement between Tower and their employer.
- Policies underwritten by Tower's group companies in the Pacific.
- Eligible Customers will receive one Prevention Pack per Eligible Policy purchased in accordance with these Terms (i.e., there will only be one Prevention Pack issued per house insured by the Eligible Policy).
- Eligible Customers must purchase and maintain the Eligible Policy for a minimum 12-month period.
- The Prevention Pack is non-exchangeable, non-refundable, non-transferable, non-negotiable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Tower reserves the right to substitute the Prevention Pack at its sole discretion.
- The Prevention Pack is available to the first 100 Eligible Customers and will be sent by courier to the address of the house insured under the Eligible Policy.
- If, for any reason:
- Tower has not received payment of an Eligible Customer's Premium (either in full for annual payment or at least the first instalment if the payment method is otherwise) for the Eligible Policy; or
- Cover under the Eligible Policy has not commenced; or
- The Prevention Pack cannot be left at the address of the insured house under the Eligible Policy;Tower reserves the right to retain the Prevention Pack and issue to another Eligible Customer.
- Policy termS, conditions, exclusions, minimum premiums and underwriting criteria apply in respect of all Eligible Policies.
- Tower reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to:
- cancel this Promotion prior to expiry of the Promotion Period;
- add policies to the list of Eligible Policies; and/or
- change any other aspect of the Promotion at any time.
- Each Prevention Pack is subject to Aqara's terms and conditions (as applicable).
- Tower expressly disclaims and does not accept liability in relation to any terms and conditions (or any change to the terms and conditions) relating to the Prevention Pack.
- Tower explicitly disclaims and does not accept liability in relation to the performance of the Prevention Pack.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tower and its related companies and affiliates, employees and agents will not be liable for any loss, damage, personal injury, or cost suffered by any person arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with entering this Promotion or accepting the Prevention Pack.
- The Promoter is Tower Limited (Tower) of Level 5, 136 Fanshawe Street, Auckland 1010, New Zealand.

The pack contains a range of sensors and a hub for the sensors to connect to including:
- An Aqara motion sensor - it detects movement up to 7 metres away.
- 2 x Aqara door and window sensors - they warn you if they detect a door or window being opened.
- An Aqara water leak sensor - it alerts you if water is detected.
- The Aqara hub - a USB device for all your sensors to connect to.
We'll send your pack to you once your policy starts and we've received your first payment. Delivery time frames are usually 5 to 15 business days. Please note, we will not be sending out packs between 20 December 2024 and 7 January 2025.
If you received the qualifying email directly from Tower and purchase an eligible house policy, we'll let you know by email the following week. Please note, we will not be sending out emails between 20 December 2024 and 7 January 2025.
Yes! You're eligible for one pack for each policy you purchase, as long as it's an eligible policy. So, if you buy two new eligible policies, you'll get two Prevention Packs.
This is a special offer only for customers who receive our Prevention Promotion email, so if you weren't sent an email directly from Tower then you're not eligible.
These sensors can be placed around your house to help add an extra layer of security and help you detect small problems, so you can prevent them becoming bigger problems. Now that's forward thinking.
Setting up the sensors is easy, and can be done in minutes. You can visit Aqara's website to watch their videos which will show you how to install them.

Your smart hub may need Wi-Fi to communicate with your smartphone or receive updates. However, the Aqara hubs use Zigbee to communicate locally with the smart devices in your home, and this network doesn't need a Wi-Fi connection. Find out more about these requirements.
