Kiwibank Win a year's premium on us

  1. These terms and conditions (Promotion Terms), Tower's General Promotion Terms and Conditions (available here), and Tower's General Terms (available here) apply to the "Pin the Risk & be in to win a year's premium" Promotion (Promotion).
  2. If this Promotion applies and you are an Eligible Customer, you have been automatically entered into this Promotion and are deemed to have accepted the below terms and conditions. If you wish to be removed from this Promotion, please contact us.
  3. The Promoter is Tower Limited (Tower, us) at Level 5, 136 Fanshawe Street, Auckland 1010, New Zealand. 
  4. The Promotion begins at 12:00am on Wednesday 26 February 2025 and ends at 11:59pm on Thursday 19 March 2025 (Promotion Period).
  5. There are two prizes to be won for this Promotion. Eligible Customers will receive one entry per Eligible Policy purchased, or held, in accordance with these Terms (i.e., purchase and/or hold two Eligible Policies and receive two entries). Eligible Customers will have their entries drawn on either the Wellington Draw Date, or the Auckland Draw Date, subject to where the Eligible Customer meets clause 10 requirements first.
  6. Prize Winners will receive a one-time discount on the total premium payable for one year of the relevant Eligible Policy drawn. The prize will be calculated based on the annualised premium paid or payable by the customer when that policy was purchased (Premium). The prize amount will not be adjusted to reflect any changes a Prize Winner subsequently makes to their policy which increase or decrease the Premium. The prize amount will be the lower of:
    1. the Premium (including GST, fees and levies); or
    2. NZ$2,000 (including GST) (Prize).
  7. Each Prize Winner can only win one Prize during the Promotion.
  8. Depending on how you pay your Premium, the Prize will be delivered as:
    1. a refund on Premium paid as at the Wellington Draw Date or Auckland Draw Date (as applicable); and/or
    2. a credit to the Premium if there is a balance owing on the Eligible Policy.
  9. If a Prize Winner's Premium is more than NZ$2,000 (including GST, fees and levies), that Prize Winner must pay the remaining balance of their Premium.
  10. Subject to these Terms, this Promotion is available to you if:
    1. you are a 'Current Employee' of Kiwibank. A 'Current Employee' is any person who is currently employed by Kiwibank under a full-time, part-time, or other employment contract; and
    2. you complete Tower's Pin the Risk game; and
    3. you purchase a new, or hold an existing, Eligible Policy (as defined in clause 12 below) with Tower during the Promotion Period; and
    4. where the Eligible Policy is purchased new, the period of insurance for the Eligible Policy begins within 90 days of the date the Eligible Policy was purchased; and
    5. the Eligible Policy (as defined in clause 12) has commenced and is in force on the Wellington Draw Date (as defined in clause 17 below) or the Auckland Draw Date (as defined in clause 18 below) (as applicable); and
    6. by the Wellington Draw Date, or Auckland Draw Date (as applicable), Tower has received all payments due in respect of your premium for such policy, either:
      1. in full for an annual payment; or
      2. at least the first instalment and any subsequent payments due if your payment method is by instalments.
        (Eligible Customer).
  11. This Promotion does not apply to the following:
    1. Tower's employees and their respective immediate families and/or people residing with them (unless they are a current Kiwibank employee).
    2. Trade Me Insurance policies.
    3. Policies underwritten by Tower's group companies in the Pacific.
  12. For the purposes of this Promotion, an Eligible Policy means the following new or already held Tower branded policies:
    1. House (Premium, Plus, and/or Standard policies);
    2. Landlord (Plus policy); 
    3. Contents (Premium, Plus, and/or Standard policies);
    4. Car (Comprehensive, Third Party Fire and Theft, and/or Third Party only policies); or
    5. Tower Boat insurance policy,
      but excludes:
    6. Lifestyle block and farm insurance policies;
    7. Contract Works - Renovation cover policies; and
    8. any other insurance policies underwritten by Tower.
  13. Unless Tower advises otherwise, this Promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, discount or promotion, except for the Tower multi-policy discount and Kiwibank Love Your Perks discount.   14. If an Eligible Customer has more than one Eligible Policy entered into the Promotion, Prizes will be determined based on the relevant Eligible Policy that has been drawn.
  15. The Prize is non-exchangeable, non-refundable, non-transferable, non-negotiable, and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other benefit.
  16. If an Eligible Policy is cancelled during its term, the Prize will be forfeited. If the Prize Winner is owed a refund on any premium paid in respect of the Eligible Policy, the refund will be calculated in accordance with Tower's policy terms.
  17. In respect of the entries submitted during the roadshow in Wellington, the Prize Winner will be determined by a random draw by Tower from all valid entries on 4 April 2025 and if required pursuant to clause 20 of these Terms, on the date where any new Prize Winner is selected (Wellington Draw Date). The Prize Winner will be notified by Tower by email or phone within seven working days from the Wellington Draw Date.
  18. In respect of the entries submitted during the roadshow in Auckland, the Prize Winner will be determined by a random draw by Tower from all valid entries on 22 April 2025 and if required pursuant to clause 20 of these Terms, on the date where any new Prize Winner is selected (Auckland Draw Date). The Prize Winner will be notified by Tower by email or phone within seven working days from the Auckland Draw Date.
  19. One Prize Winner will be determined on the Wellington Draw Date and one on the Auckland Draw Date (together Prize Winners).
  20. If, for any reason:
    1. Tower is unable to contact a Prize Winner within 10 working days of the Wellington Draw Date or Auckland Draw Date (as applicable); or
    2. the terms of clause 10 are not met; or
    3. a Prize Winner's Eligible Policy is not in force on the Wellington Draw Date or Auckland Draw Date (as applicable),
      Tower reserves the right to withdraw the Prize and re-draw a new Prize Winner.
  21. Tower will obtain written permission prior to using any Prize Winner's personal information (including their name, photograph, city, and/or town) for marketing and/or publicity purposes in connection with this Promotion. If consent is provided, this information may be published on Tower's website, and/or social media networks, and in communications without compensation. Please refer to Tower's Privacy Policy for more information. 
  22. This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook or Instagram, and you fully release Meta Platforms, Inc. from any liability or responsibility for or in connection with this Promotion. 
  23. Policy terms, conditions, exclusions, limits, sub-limits, minimum premiums (as applicable) and underwriting criteria apply in respect of all policies.
  24. Tower reserves the right to:
    1. cancel this Promotion prior to expiry of the Promotion Period;
    2. add policies to the list of Eligible Policies; and/or
    3. change, extend, suspend, terminate, or re-schedule any part or all of the Promotion at any time,
      at its sole discretion. 
  25. All entries remain the property of Tower. All personal information will be collected and stored by Tower in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020. Tower will use the entrants' personal information to conduct the Promotion. Entrants have the right to access and request correction and deletion of personal information held by Tower.
